TRIXIE/USHERETTE
Performed Age: Flexible
Range: Mezzo Soprano Belt, Bb3-Eb5
Character Description: An employee of a derelict cinema who is serving refreshments to the patrons with a cheeky attitude. Introduces the audience to the double feature movie they will be seeing.
MAGENTA
Performed Age: Flexible
Range: Mezzo Soprano Belt, Bb3-Eb5
Character Description: A Transylvanian who came to Earth with their sibling Riff Raff and master, Dr. Frank 'N' Furter. Serves as the awkward maid of the castle.
BRAD
Performed Age: 20-30
Range: Bari Tenor, Bb2-G4
Character Description: Quirky, but very much in love with his fiancé, Janet. Overly optimistic at times.
JANET
Performed Age: 20-30
Range: Mezzo Soprano Belt, A3-Eb5
Character Description: Madly in love with Brad. Always seems to be frightened of something. Keeps losing clothing throughout the story. Appears to be emotionally weak and caves into pressure easily.
NARRATOR
Performed Age: Flexible
Range: Non-Singing Role
Character Description: Follows our two heroes’ through the story by narrating directly to the audience. Has no neck.
RIFF RAFF
Performed Age: 25-45
Range: High Rock Tenor, D3-B4
Character Description: A Transylvanian who came to Earth with their sibling Magenta and master, Dr. Frank 'N' Furter. Resembling more of a zombie they often make harmless conversation seem awkward and foreboding.
COLUMBIA
Performed Age: Flexible
Range: Mezzo Soprano Belt, E4-E5
Character Description: Columbia is a groupie and one of Frank’s previous lovers; now serves as a servant in the castle.
FRANK 'N' FURTER
Performed Age: 25-45
Range: Baritone, D3-G4
Character Description: A Transylvanian and the master of the castle. Welcomes Janet and Brad with open arms. Obsessed with creating a man to be part of their sexual entourage. Frank is a master of seduction.
ROCKY
Performed Age: 18-30
Range: Tenor, A3-G4
Character Description: Frank’s magnificent and perfect creation. Created with half of Eddie’s brain, they are sexually appealing and have prominent muscles.
EDDIE
Performed Age: 22-35
Range: Baritone, E3-F#4
Character Description: Abandoned their delivery job to live in the castle. Eddie was Columbia and Frank’s ex-lover, half of his brain was used to create Rocky; A total rock and roll junkie.
DR. SCOTT
Performed Age: 28-45
Range: Baritone, E3-F#4
Character Description: Brad's former science teacher and close friend. He ends up at the castle while looking for his nephew, Eddie.
PHANTOMS / TRANSYLVANIANS
Performed Age: 18+
Range: SATB
Character Description: Inhabitants of The Rocky Horror Show world.
Audition Information
Audition Dates: June 2nd, 3rd & 4th
Audition Location: Green Thumb Theatre - 5522 McKinnon Street, Vancouver, V5R 0B6 (Near Joyce Skytrain station)

Callback Date: June 17th
Audition Requirements:
Auditions will consist of an individual singing component and a group dance call.
Please prepare two musical theatre songs, one up-tempo and one ballad, 16 – 32 bars in length, which are NOT to be from The Rocky Horror Show. You must provide sheet music in your key; an audition accompanist will be provided and must be used.
Narrator Only: Cold read from the provided sides, no song or dance will be required.
Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before your scheduled audition time to fill in paperwork and should be prepared to spend approximately 60 minutes onsite.

Important Notes

Please bring a list of all conflicts from July 22nd through show time with you to your audition.

Conflict dates that are not disclosed at the audition will not be considered and your role will be recast.

Most roles in the production will involve revealing clothing and/or partial nudity, this is particularly true of the roles of Brad, Janet, & Rocky.
